Sberbank debit cards

Design development
In 2010, while working at the Moscow office of Mildberry, I had the chance to contribute to a project for Sberbank, Russia's largest bank. Our task was to create a range of debit cards. Working with a team of talented designers, art directors and strategists, we proposed numerous concepts and ideas to the client. Eventually, my design was selected as the final solution.
The design was relatively simple. It incorporated the bank's branding elements and featured natural textures tailored to each tier of card. For instance, the standard card had a frost-like pattern. The gold card featured a sand texture. And the premium card showed a platinum finish. The basic cards were decorated with vivid imagery.
I worked meticulously to finalize the design, sifting through hundreds of texture variations until the entire range felt cohesive. The most popular and iconic card became the silver one with its frosty texture. Remarkably, the design remained unchanged for over 10 years, and the bank issued over 200 million of these cards.
